To answer your question, i used a program to retrieve missing files or folders and when I used a stronger program, it found the file in a totally unrelated folder somewhere on my backup external drive. I have absolutely no explanation for that. So this might not be ver helpful for other people but the only advise would be to use a strong repair program to retrieve the missing item.
