When the Fujifilm X-T2 arrived, it was more than just a modest upgrade to the already impressive X-T1, most notably in terms of autofocus and video. While the new X-T3 hasn’t changed the overall design of the camera it repeats the same trick: representing a significant step forward.

It is available in black or black and silver. Autofocus, video and the user interface are just a small portion of what’s new on the X-T3 compared to its immediate predecessor.

The X-T3’s design is nearly identical to that of the X-T2, and that’s a good thing. The name of the game is customization, with nine buttons to choose from. There are also use-case-based Http://replace.me/10928.txt controls available.

Battery life is above average. Fujifilm has raised the bar for video on APS-C cameras, one example of why crop formats are not dead yet.

The X-T3’s newly enhanced video capabilities, added to familiar photographic prowess makes it one of the best APS-C cameras we’ve tested. Looking for mainly an all-purpose camera – mostly for travel and landscapes, night photography, and occasionally, birds and wildlife. Im considering buying this camera and was wondering if you could answer a few queries for me: 1.

Does the back screen rotate so you can see image prk front of camera? Can you extract a picture still from the video on the camera? The sample images of Fuji XT3 are very nice, beautiful and very sharp. It would been nice if the image shows the lense details also. It shall help us to choose the lens. I wanted to see images of XT3 with 90 mm f2 lens. Did think about getting one of these but having downloaded the Raw files in the Review I don’t think I will bother.

Could yo please explain why some folk Blow up images so big that grain etc can be seen. Why not accept the files at the size the cameras put out?. Dxo for noise adobe unsharp logic pro x 2019 review free sharpness. Maybe i’m missing something. I have 30×40 inch from XT-1 and they look fantastic. I own this camera and for the record autofocus in video mode is totally useless if you want to track an object eg car or train. It will hunt backwards and forewards at least once thereby ruining any footage.

It also has an exposure stepping problem with certain lenses so you end up running manual focus and manual exposure. On the intro page under key specs it shows “Three-axis tilting touchscreen” yet on the conclusion page it says correctly “Dual-hinged screen. I did not buy this X-T3 when I needed a replacement for my broken x-T10 even though it’s a great camera for a great price and probably with great build quality main reason I wanted to leave the X-T x0 range in the узнать больше place.

However, due to ongoing situation in Hongkong, I felt compelled to buy the all Japanese product instead. That’s the one rveiew we consumers have, don’t we? Latest news confirmed my suspicion, it’s not a good move to build in China, for a Japanese company. So go X-T2, H1, Pro 2 logic pro x 2019 review free 3 instead. I have just started using my x-t2 again and although the x-t3 is all around a much better camera logiic the AF performance I do find I prefer the images SOOC from the x-t2.

Great camera, not so great sensor. Worm-like artifacts all over the place, like with every other X-Trans sensor. I tried an X-T with a traditional type sensor for revoew months and it has excellent image quality.

Light room for microsoft office 2010 professional free does that unless lgoic use enhance details. Fuji is not customer friendly.

I took it to local shop but Fuji loguc refused to sale the part and want to keep the pto and making it mandatory to repair it from for exorbitant cost. I emailed and had a call but did not get any response. If you go by other cameras like Nikon and Logic pro x 2019 review free they can be locally repaired.

Logic pro x 2019 review free will suggest to future Fuji buyers to think on this aspect because you not only buy Logic pro x 2019 review free but lenses and accessories which is very costly to switch to other gears if Fuji screws customer for repairs. Sorry guys, you may and do! Made in China They were one of the last to make them in Japan. I don’t care about other electronics being made in China, but when it comes to cameras it’s just bothersome to me.

Страница keep my X-T2. I mean let’s say that Ferrari decides to move their factory to China and build it exactly the same. Would it still leave the same impression frfe fans? Yes, I suppose so. If you want to taste the world’s greatest sushi, you wouldn’t travel to Korea, would you?

You’d go to Japan because that’s where it originated from. You’d want to taste the sushi where it originated from еще nascar game pc вас you? I guess the same can be applied to Leica. I can’t afford it but Logic pro x 2019 review free can see why people respect logoc logic pro x 2019 review free.

German engineering, German made and German Origin. Fans would be in an uproar if Leica were logic pro x 2019 review free move their facility to China. I’d argue sushi preparation is a more skilled task, perhaps a skill more easily acquired in a culture where that skill is more widely-held and taught, which is not really the way manufacturing processes work.

But talk жмите сюда Leica logic pro x 2019 review free reinforce the idea of brand perception given they draw much more attention to the work done in Germany than the refiew made in Portugal. Would you buy an iPhone if you found out that it was made in China, or would you refrain and buy a Huawei instead? Here’s an esoteric sample image request. And post the cheated shutter speed video footage, too?

That’s kind of the litmus test I need to see. The AF Tracking which recognises and follows a subject around the screen, as well as at different distancestakes a fraction of a second to acquire its subject, so a child running straight towards you and the camera would probably catch it out.

However, if the child is running around and you can keep the camera pointed at them either for long enough for the tracking system to recognise them as your intended subject or you can keep an AF ‘zone’ over them, manually ,the camera can refocus quickly enough with many free the lenses to get plenty of in-focus shots.

Richard Butler. Thanks for the reply. I was merely quoting the bullet point under “Family” for the “What it frfe like to use” section, which states that the AF is not responsive enough for running children. Is it safe to say that the A7iii tracks better than the XT3? In the broadest terms, yes. In our experience it’s a little faster to recognise its subject and a little stickier at staying on it when asking the camera to track the subject.

Indeed it is! Thank you again for all the excellent reviews and the responsiveness to questions. Question: anyone test the wireless speed to transfer picture from camera to PC? I always image a much easy way to transfer image from my digital camera to my PC silence, fast and automatically. It’s an intuitive experience, shoots quickly, AF is great, loigc are great, and it’s easy to navigate, but for the life of me, almost everything I shoot seems a bit soft vs.

Not sure if it’s the lack of great Logic pro x 2019 review free, which I’ve become so used to, and that I need to develop a new, slower technique to avoid camera shake. But I don’t think that’s it. I’m thinking Fuji is an acquired taste. I’m going to stick with it, but the universal hype around this camera seems a bit overblown and not for everyone. Its merely okay, don’t believe the hype.

I’m really disappointed by the interval shooting mode on Fuji xt3, i hope fuji could fix this via a logic pro x 2019 review free update. I’m switching from bulky nikon full frame due to the heavy weight of nikon. Not only the nikon body allows you to produce p or 4k time lapse straight in the camera. This is still not a big problem. But the interval shooting logic pro x 2019 review free smoothing logic pro x 2019 review free the nikon is missing in the fuji, this makes the post processing a lot easier as you don’t need to erview your time lapse just lightroom tuning and then compile into a video.

Not interested in video. Therefore, very little reason to get x-t3 over x-t Thanks Lpgic. Have had the x-t2 for смотрите подробнее couple of months now moving from a Canon 6D. AF seems just fine for my needs. I rarely shoot in continuous mode. Don’t need a huge buffer since Logic pro x 2019 review free rarely shoot multiple shots successively, but when I do, I think the x-t2 buffer will be adequate. Of course, if my style and subject matter change, and I feel the 2 is no longer a good tool for what I do, will not hesitate to get what I need.

Hip hip hooray!!!! It’s faster workflow with better jpeg converter. One of the most limiting factors of this camera as a one solution camera is it’s lack of IBIS. Competing cameras IBIS systems are almost uncanny in there ability eeview stabilize the sensor a without the need to carry extra cumbersome gear that would be needed to stabilize this camera.

And the mm is a F2. Fuji’s limited selection of stabilized lenses also puts limitations on users that put an emphasis on those types of lenses.

Certainly, I would think it would be a good street photography camera and that is one of the few areas where the lens lineup is good for that. But for sports, wildlife, action, macro, landscape, still life, product, portraits, astrophotography and for people interested in a range of stabilized lenses there are better choices. Plus, some of Fuji’s lineup , 80mm macro, the kit lenses, the , etc are comparatively pricey.

Now you may not find them pricey but median US income is 61K a year and the overwhelming majority of people can not afford the thousands and thousands of dollars you spend on gear. If you are street photographer, a videographer, have no particular area of photography you want to emphasize and you have the unusual amounts of money to afford some of the gear it is a great choice. True and weather sealed, who needs anything else??

Stevelink: Thanks for being honest in your comments. Other lens are pretty sharp. There are other examples but these make my case that its sharpness isn’t unique. In any case, modern macro lenses are so sharp that only the most petty, persnickety pixel peeping would show a difference in many if not most applications. And other lenses offer weather sealing and at a lower price so Fuji is not offering anything unique here.

Sure it is a good macro lens but it is heavy and pricey with nothing that can’t be obtained elsewhere. The analog controls are an enormous delight aperture ring! What’s not so great is the relatively shallow grip; it just didn’t feel comfortable over the course of almost 30 minutes. That said, it’s something that I could probably get used to. This can’t be overstated. It is arguably the single most important factor for bringing the joy back to photography for many who ditch FF.

The system can simultaneously support six Apple Thunderbolt Displays , or three 4K resolution computer monitors.

The second-generation Mac Pro has a redesigned configuration of ports. It has a HDMI 1. It also has a headphones mini jack the two are distinctly selectable within the Sound System Preference panel, Output tab.

There is no dedicated port for inputting audio. The system has a low-fidelity internal mono speaker. The Thunderbolt 2 ports support up to thirty-six Thunderbolt devices six per port and can concurrently support up to three 4K displays. Instead, there are six Thunderbolt 2 ports to connect high-speed external peripherals, including enclosures for internal PCIe cards.

Apple’s website mentions only RAM [51] and flash storage [52] as user-serviceable, though third party tear-downs show nearly all components can be removed and replaced. However, special tools only available from Apple are necessary for proper dismantling and reassembly. The flash storage and GPUs use proprietary connectors and are specially sized to fit into the enclosure.

Apple publishes recommended configurations to use. These operating systems are installable on Intel xbased Apple computers:. Reception of the new design was mixed, initially receiving positive reviews, but more negative in the long term, due to Apple’s failure to upgrade the hardware specs. The performance had been widely lauded, especially handling video tasks on the dual GPU units, with some reviewers noting the ability to apply dozens of filters to realtime 4K resolution video in Final Cut Pro X.

However, in late through early , some reviewers had noted the lack of internal expandability, second CPU, serviceability, and questioned the then-limited offerings via Thunderbolt 2 ports. Issues included “distorted video, no video, system instability, freezing, restarts, shut downs, or may prevent system start up. The repair program ended on 30 May Users have had to resort to using third-party apps to manually increase the fan speed to prevent the GPUs from overheating.

In April , Apple confirmed that a redesigned Mac Pro would be released in to replace the model. The design also includes a new thermal architecture with three impeller fans, which promises to prevent the computer from having to throttle the processor so that it can always run at its peak performance level.

The RAM is expandable to 1. Apple’s Afterburner card is a custom add-on, which adds hardware acceleration for ProRes codecs. Similar to the second generation, the cover can be removed to access the internals, which features eight PCIe slots for expansion, making this the first Mac with six or more expansion slots since the Power Macintosh in Feet and wheels are not stated by Apple to be user-replaceable and require sending the machine to an Apple Store or authorized service provider, though tear-downs show the feet are simply screwed on.

After initial reports that the Mac Pro would be assembled in China, Apple confirmed in September it would be assembled in Austin, Texas , at the same facility as the previous-generation Mac Pro, making it the sole Apple product assembled in the United States.

The third-generation Mac Pro returns to a tower form factor and features a prominent lattice pattern on its front and rear. Initial reviews were generally positive. The SSD can also be replaced via Apple official parts, but require an Apple Configurator restore to re-pair it with the T2 chip [80] [88].

April 4, Apple announces new Mac Pro with cylindrical design”. June 10, Retrieved June 10, For those who remember the film era or even those who just want to harken back to that, it is a fun twist. And it will encourage one to further use Fuji’s famous film emulations. As someone else noted, it’s a very capable camera but one designed to “nudge” users towards a certain way of using.

That’s not a bad thing. People buy manual focus Leica rangefinders even when they don’t need to buy a manual focus only camera to manually focus. If you read Fuji’s marketing, they knew exactly what they were doing and knew this would be a somewhat controversial move and one not for all.

But they did it anyway I’d never buy this camera because I’m sure I’d pop out the display all the time till I’d break it.

Otherwise its a great camera Fujifilm xpro 3 is a step towards mediocrity, I used Xpro 2 with pleasure. I thought it was time to regenerate. I waited for Xpro 3. I got an Xpro 3 flash.

It was as if xpro 2 had a different make-up. A screen is hidden. You turn it, you see it pull. Like a version of Leica monocrom. I never thought I had such an expectation. What would I expect from xpro 3? I asked this question. A design touch that will distinguish from Xpro 2. Looks like it would do me good.

But never a hidden screen. I don’t think I need that screen. The XPro 3’s biggest point of difference is in psychology and behavioural economics, rather than technology. Like most other mirrorless cameras the XPro3 has a rear LCD and it has a viewfinder two viewfinders, in fact. But with other mirrorless cameras it’s psychologically easier to use the LCD. If you want to use the viewfinder on a regular mirrorless camera, it’s a conscious decision, because every time you raise the camera to your eye you have to ignore the fact that there’s already a perfectly acceptable image of the scene staring you in the face on the LCD.

With the XPro 3 it’s the other way round. There is an LCD, but it’s tucked away, so simplest way to view the scene is through the viewfinder. If you do want to use the LCD, you have to flip it down. That’s not a great effort, but the extra step makes the LCD a conscious choice rather than the default option. And that, psychologically, ‘nudges’ you to the viewfinder – just as other cameras ‘nudge’ you to the LCD.

How many moments of delight have passed me by because I was staring at it through a viewfinder? Too many to mention. Putting your camera away can literally be an eye opener. The digital age has brought thousands and thousands of images that maybe should not have been taken at all. Despite your conclusion I’m convinced that the Xpro3’s jpegs are consistently “sharper” and more colour accurate than it’s nearest obvious rivals. I am old enough to have used film cameras in this format.

To people of my generation, the xp3 looks like a camera. To a newer generation used to only digital, the reaction tends to be quite different.

I want to use a camera, not a computer. Fuji has been releasing a series of xp3 stories. Handling and performance are not enough—if the car does not give a driver joy, its appeal and luxury status are called into question. I think that sums it up.

I want to have joy with photography. More and more the camera market will only be populated by people like you, who do it for more than just taking pictures I have owned dozens of cameras and still have several that health allows me to hold.

I have been shooting for the love of photography for decades. I didn’t need marketing to find joy. Look, this is a friendly post but to many of us the marketing of the X-Pro 3 is a little over the top and I can fully understand why many would prefer a more traditional screen.

It is no big deal really. There are many cameras out there. There is something for everybody. I enjoy reading all the comments about the various features each camera offers be it good, negative or neutral. I don’t call any of it “hate”. A comment on a camera should never result in a reply that is a personal attack but we see a lot of that on the DPR.

No post about a camera has ever upset me. The new ovf is a big letdown. It makes more sense to use a x-t3. What if someone prefers a rangefinder style body? What if someone likes the sub monitor and the whole approach with the back screen? The EVF is wonderful, from all accounts.

There are many reasons why one might want this camera. It’s not for everyone, but no camera is Then instead of being two options for someone who can even buy both, they compete with each other. Of course there will be some people who will like it. I was talking about my needs. I like the ovf, which i love using with my x-pro 1. Am I the only one who could not tell the difference in sharpness between the HDR sample image and the converted raw image? Even when I pixel-peeped at the twigs in the upper right hand corner, i couldn’t tell the difference.

Specifically I have checked the color rendering of the four portraits in the test scene. I have been very surprised to see that the X-Pro3 is very similar to the original X-Pro1 and very different from the current X-T3. Do you agree? Does it make sense? Massimo, yes, it sort of makes sense. Fuji tries to emulate many of its film emulsions so, other things being equal, we may expect similar, if not identical, results from each model X-Pro. For sure, the later models will have technical improvements, but I’m happy with what I have.

Funnily enough, I prefer the looks of the Pro 1 to the Pro 3. This review is a very diplomatic one, but clearly says that there is probably a viewfinder where Fuji went wrong as I interpret itThen we are left only with the flip down screen.

Shall this breed as they seem to call it overtake and make xpro2 redundant? The VF is perfectly fine and the best yet on an X Pro series. The EVF is all around better.

The LCD screen is better, but you do have to flip it down. That makes it nice for waist level shooting. This new X Pro 3 offers a nice twist with that sub monitor showing film simulation mode, which highlights one of the strong points for Fuji cameras in general. Then we have the very weather sealed body, using titanium, and if you prefer, a scratch proof coating.

I don’t understand the logic behind this “less is more” approach. It’s like buying a car that has only an AF-radio and paying extra for that lack of features when a digital radio can simulate or includes AF. But it appears that some people go for that. Why is it so hard for some of you too understand that there are some of us that really like this camera series?

Why do I have to use the same thing as you? Your car analogy is ridiculous. This camera has 3 viewfinders Did I say that you have to use the same thing as me? I said I don’t understand why this appeals not that it should not appeal. But that’s just my opinion. Or are opinions no longer acceptable? Compare Google to Yahoo. When Google started, Yahoo was the big deal in search engines. Yahoo not only had a search field on their home page, but all sorts of other links and sections.

Google to this day has a home page only with the search feature. Google is huge, Yahoo is a fraction of its former self. It takes great pics, looks great, it’s indestructible, and it appeals to few ppl only, thus is rare. For the price point, there are other cameras such as the Sony Alpha7 which deliver better IQ, but you’re not buying this for the ultimate IQ.

You’re buying this cause it’s a collectable, and for the pride of ownership. Would I buy this? Yes, the DuraSilver variant. The real problem of the system remains to be the lens options: the 35mm f1. Fuji needs to update the 35mm line with a modern, sturdy 35mm f1. Have you used the cameras you are comparing this too? I haven’t used the xpro3. I’ve used the Leicas M , and the xpro2 which I use regularly. I have also the Xpro1. So I have plenty of experience with almost every camera produced so far.

I’ll rent the xpro3 and see what it has to offer but I’m very familiar with the xpro line. I would like to have the xpro3 to soot with and put it on a table and look at it. But they’re right. Consider the Nikon Df.

Great camera, not so great sensor. Worm-like artifacts all over the place, like with every other X-Trans sensor. I tried an X-T with a traditional type sensor for several months and it has excellent image quality.

Light room for example does that unless you use enhance details. Fuji is not customer friendly. I took it to local shop but Fuji has refused to sale the part and want to keep the monopoly and making it mandatory to repair it from for exorbitant cost.

I emailed and had a call but did not get any response. If you go by other cameras like Nikon and Fuji they can be locally repaired. I will suggest to future Fuji buyers to think on this aspect because you not only buy Camera but lenses and accessories which is very costly to switch to other gears if Fuji screws customer for repairs. Sorry guys, you may and do! Made in China They were one of the last to make them in Japan.

I don’t care about other electronics being made in China, but when it comes to cameras it’s just bothersome to me. I’ll keep my X-T2. I mean let’s say that Ferrari decides to move their factory to China and build it exactly the same. Would it still leave the same impression for fans? Yes, I suppose so. If you want to taste the world’s greatest sushi, you wouldn’t travel to Korea, would you? You’d go to Japan because that’s where it originated from. You’d want to taste the sushi where it originated from wouldn’t you?

I guess the same can be applied to Leica. I can’t afford it but I can see why people respect the brand. German engineering, German made and German Origin. Fans would be in an uproar if Leica were to move their facility to China. I’d argue sushi preparation is a more skilled task, perhaps a skill more easily acquired in a culture where that skill is more widely-held and taught, which is not really the way manufacturing processes work.

But talk of Leica does reinforce the idea of brand perception given they draw much more attention to the work done in Germany than the bits made in Portugal.

Would you buy an iPhone if you found out that it was made in China, or would you refrain and buy a Huawei instead? Here’s an esoteric sample image request. And post the cheated shutter speed video footage, too? That’s kind of the litmus test I need to see. The AF Tracking which recognises and follows a subject around the screen, as well as at different distances , takes a fraction of a second to acquire its subject, so a child running straight towards you and the camera would probably catch it out.

However, if the child is running around and you can keep the camera pointed at them either for long enough for the tracking system to recognise them as your intended subject or you can keep an AF ‘zone’ over them, manually ,the camera can refocus quickly enough with many of the lenses to get plenty of in-focus shots.

Richard Butler. Thanks for the reply. I was merely quoting the bullet point under “Family” for the “What it is like to use” section, which states that the AF is not responsive enough for running children.

It’s an intuitive experience, shoots quickly, AF is great, menus are great, and it’s easy to navigate, but for the life of me, almost everything I shoot seems a bit soft vs.

Not sure if it’s the lack of great IBIS, which I’ve become so used to, and that I need to develop a new, slower technique to avoid camera shake. But I don’t think that’s it. I’m thinking Fuji is an acquired taste. I’m going to stick with it, but the universal hype around this camera seems a bit overblown and not for everyone. Its merely okay, don’t believe the hype. I’m really disappointed by the interval shooting mode on Fuji xt3, i hope fuji could fix this via a software update.

I’m switching from bulky nikon full frame due to the heavy weight of nikon. Not only the nikon body allows you to produce p or 4k time lapse straight in the camera.

This is still not a big problem. But the interval shooting exposure smoothing in the nikon is missing in the fuji, this makes the post processing a lot easier as you don’t need to deflickr your time lapse just lightroom tuning and then compile into a video.

Not interested in video. Therefore, very little reason to get x-t3 over x-t Thanks Dan. Have had the x-t2 for a couple of months now moving from a Canon 6D. AF seems just fine for my needs.

I rarely shoot in continuous mode. Don’t need a huge buffer since I rarely shoot multiple shots successively, but when I do, I think the x-t2 buffer will be adequate. Competing cameras IBIS systems are almost uncanny in there ability to stabilize the sensor a without the need to carry extra cumbersome gear that would be needed to stabilize this camera.

That is not entirely correct now is it? Put a lens with IS on there and it will do fine. If you are very serious about video, you can get a budget gimbal no problem 2 to 4 hundred dollars. The entire point of the original post was to say for the average user, not a video nut, IBIS means you do not need to do that nor carry it.

If you are that serious about video to go an buy, carry and use a gimbal then maybe the T3 is not what you should be buying anyway. It’s very good at video according the review but it’s not the ultimate video tool.

Most of Fuji zooms have OIS, and most average users do have a zoom. Sure IBIS would be handy. But the lack of it isnt the end of the world. Basically only an issue of you have to record with a prime. I would argue that generally a zoom is handier for the average user. However, for video, correcting roll to keep your horizons straight is important, and that’s something OIS can’t do. As such, the lack of IBIS will be mentioned as a Con in future reviews That’s what I meant by “A tripod or gimbal is needed to get the best of the camera’s video” in this review.

I myself am not into video much. I would imagine though that the biggest contributors to the need for stabilization is pure translation rather than roll. By that I mean a common person, not a videographer who notices every little aspect of the footage. But like I said, so am not big into video. My comment has more to do with curiosity rather than making a statement in favor of either tech,. Dave Oddie, regarding you telling people to use a gimbal, my research shows that a decent gimbal weights over 1kg, which is a big deal when travelling, especially if I’m already travelling with a tripod and extra lens.

Very few cameras have IBIS good enough to look pleasing in demanding shots, let alone beat a gimbal. XT-2 still rules This is a great camera, but I have an X-T So glass will make more of a difference for me.. Jim Kasson records 2.

I get 2. When Sony gets to 3ms readout, maybe we can start saying goodbye to mechanical shutters. Question – Some of the reviews i’ve read say it only gets 10 min of video per battery.

How is this usable? Any minute take, or three 3. Or am I missing something? Check out Tony Northropes new video on color science.. Sony and Fuji were on top That video means nothing. Colours is all about taste and you can change it in raw. I would do the same. I love the Canon colours. I only regret that Canon is a bit behind in technology in terms of sensor technology and 4k video. But the Dual Pixel autofocus is surely impressive.

Is that a new record? Still owning some Nikon and Fuji lenses I seriously consider buying this for maturities sake. It’s not the FF, ergonomics or lense lineup I’d want but Fuji fixed so many things that made my Fujis backups.

Kudos to them I myself am getting real tired of waiting for a Zee6 or whatever. This might just work, too. Looks great, but then so does my X-T2, so I’m a little underwhelmed and see nothing too exciting here that would make me want to upgrade. For my current needs, that is. I don’t know what to beat it with! Beating it doesn’t seem appropriate or fair!

Why does it deserve a beating? Why are they recommending us to try to beat it? It appears to be a fine camera! I mean, I’m just saying, not judging! Would be perfect camera if it had IBIS. Great lens lineup, great colors, great ergonomics, state of the art video specs, and then What the heck, Fuji? Sure, from a tripod. OIS is 2 axis correction pitch and yaw only , and it’s mostly geared to low-amplitude correction such as mild hand tremor or camera movement due to pressing shutter button.

IBIS is 5 degrees of freedom: pitch, yaw, roll, x translation and y translation, and it can correct much greater amplitude, up to mild telephoto. Fuji is not going to cannibalize sales of the X-H1. If you need a better grip, then get a grip. They’re available anywhere. I’m looking forward to seeing how Fuji improves this with firmware. I’m also curious just how much little brother X-T30 next spring maybe?

I feel bad for DPR having to answer the same fanboy nitpicking of the review over and over again. Done with xt3 review but not yet done with nikon or canon?? DPreview come on. We want to know what score youll give. How ironic xt3 is done with reviews but the other 2 takes a long time. All three reviews are being conducted in parallel, the other two are nearly ready. It probably shouldn’t come as a surprise that the camera that shares most with its predecessor is the one that’s easiest to review.

Taking a long time for him to figure out how to politely say they suck This one doesn’t so it’s easier. Probably on a par with the Sony a in most situations, but arguably easier to configure and use. What’s going on Fuji? Below is some video I shot with the X-T3 a couple of weeks ago at a college football game. Video was shot using AF-C. As you can see, the AF-C is excellent with no “wobbling.

Which lens were you using? The zooming is quite smooth actually. The I also used a monopod. I’m certain of this. I need to practice my technique with using a monopod. For example i can hold on to the ‘disp’ button and assign it to face detect. Once assigned, it takes 2 taps 1 tap to bring up face detect menu, 1 tap to choose to change the mode.

The review lists the functions that can be assigned to buttons and screen swipes. Pointing out that there’s no toggle option isn’t an error. If your shooting isn’t affected by needing to make multiple taps, that’s great: feel free to ignore that particular ‘Con. DPR certainly did lay some praise on this camera and I hope that purchasers of it enjoy it.

But I found your comparisons of lens lineups to the Sony, Nikon and Panasonic to be seriously flawed. Fuji has some serious gaps in its lineup. Some that come to mind are:. No XX zoom No 2. Obviously, sports, action and wildlife photographers are impacted by the lack of long and fast lenses. But other types of photography are impacted by the lens selection. The unparalleled small range of macro lenses is not good for that type photography. People that want stabilized lenses will find Fuji’s lineup limiting compared to Nikon’s lineup or certainly any system with IBIS.

And the lens lineup for what they have is not very broad. Plus they have four in the kit zoom range and two zooms in the 5X-2XX range. Not a lot of variety at all there. And some of their lenses are pricey. The prices for some of their lenses are pretty high. The respective review site OpticalLimits called the pricing on the “bizarre” and I would also point out that you can buy mm macro for other APS-C systems for less money than you can buy the shorter 80mm macro lens for.

The price of Fuji’s kit 5X-2XX lens is also on the high side, especially considering its slow speed on the long end. And Sony and Nikon certainly have better prices on the nifty-fifty. I am sure there are other costs differences but these come to mind. But the limited lens selection and some of the pricing on lenses plus the feature set of other cameras certainly leads me to believe that for macro photographers, sports, wildlife, action, astrophotography and people with certain budgets might be better suited with other gear.

Digital, Zeiss made three Touit lenses for Fuji X. They are readily available used in USA, not sure about other markets. The 12mm is spectacular. Yes, there are the Zeiss lenses. The 12mm is reviewed as being pretty good but not spectacular.

No 2. For the vast majority of indications there are more than enough lenses in their line up How many lenses do you need to produce outstanding images? No prime longer than mm and no zoom longer than mm You know full well that at FF equiv the prime equates to a mm lens and the maxs out at the equivalent of mm.

Looking at you posts it is clear that you are a perpetual antagonist. Stop whining and get out and take some shots. I talked about 60 and 80 mm macros not 90 and If I were talking about FF equivalence I would have said 90 and So no, none of those lenses exist for Fuji.

And yes, I do realize that some people use only a few lenses. Median income in the US is 61K. And I do take pictures. Take a look at my profile. I looked at your profile and in nearly 15 years you have not uploaded any to this website. I upload elsewhere for my own use and audience. Most of it is wreck diving. To DPR? Because it is full of argumentative flogs like you who are here simply to try and appear clever. But then fail. I am pretty sure all the other APSC camera systems have access to a and an 1x-8x.

Theses types of lenses tend to be in different price and possibly weight categories, although the Canon is really on sale right now! In any case what about all the other gaps or the fact that they have few different focal lengths for the number of lenses they have. Not me The big prime glass is overrated in shooting sports and wildlife.

I see plenty of sports and wildlife being shot with the lenses I own above. But just because you use this gear does not mean there are not better choices for sports, action and wildlife.

And you are certainly impacted by your choices in the following areas in various ways with you various legends. As for the long end, lots of choices with lots of ways gain benefits. So yes, you can do sports, action, wildlife with any camera and gear combo but it does not mean it is the best choice. I was at Yellowstone last year and it made it very clear to me what sort of gear is needed for the best work.

As for other types of photography, Fuji’s limited range of focal lengths for macro means there are better choices. Other cameras have feature sets for macro, landscape, still life, product and astrophotography that make them better choices.

Many portrait photographers like a 2.

Photographing kids here. Trying to decide between the two cameras and thinking this issue might be the dealbreaker on the xt3. I have an always running 6 year old that never stops and xt3 has best af for him. It never misses. Better than my d for it. I’ve discovered the very same thing by comparing my X-T3 to my friend’s D
