Windows 10 N includes the same functionality as other Windows 10 editions, except for Windows Media Player and related technologies.
Customers can restore the functionality of these technologies by installing the Media Feature Pack for N versions of Windows These technologies include, but are not limited to, the following features:. Windows Media Player user experience: Enables Windows Media Player features, such as the ability to play media files and audio CDs, manage media in a library, create a playlist, provide metadata including album art for media, create an audio CD, transfer music to a portable music player, and play streaming content from a website.
Windows Media Player ActiveX control: Exposes methods and properties to manipulate multimedia playback from a webpage or an application. Windows Media DRM: Enables the secure delivery of protected content for playback on a computer, portable device, or network device. I have attached the error message that suggests I need to install Media Features. I’ve also provided a screenshot that shows Media Features is turned on which, as you say, I think is the default – it’s always been on.
Finally, in case I was missing something, I looked into the Optional Features settings where some folk have suggested adding the Media Features Pack as per the PS4 Remote Play error but it’s not listed and its not an option to add which makes sense, since I think it’s a default feature on regular Windows I’ve since updated the tutorial below to add option 2 for installing the Media Feature Pack for your Windows 10 version Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.

I’m an Independent Advisor and an individual like you inclined to help out. By Optional Features, do you mean the Windows Miceosoft on or off? Please take note that the link you provided is only for Windows 10 N versions. All other versions featude have Media Downloqd automatically installed. If it is still missing and your version isn’t Windows 10 N, can you lexis audio 10 free the error while installing the app?

In windowx to Shawn Brink’s post on May 29, Thanks Shaun. There’s no pack for there and when I tried installing the most recent available pack it said it mocrosoft compatible with my build.
